Bantam Coach Selected

The VRC Executives are pleased to announce our Bantam Head Coach for the 2015/16 season as Rob Milliken.

Rob was selected after being interviewed with other strong candidates by the Coaching committee.
Planning and scheduling is now moving forward with ice sessions to start in the summer months.
A brief biography of Rob’s playing and coaching credentials are listed below:

Playing Experience
Junior – BCHL (Powell River, Kelowna, Victoria)
o 3 Time First Team All-Star
o 2 x BCHL Defenseman of the Year
o All Time leader in career games played
o 2nd all-time in career points by a D-man
o 1st all-time in career goals by a D-Man
o 3rd all-time in career assists by a D-Man
o Scholarship to the University of Alaska Anchorage
o 3 x Years in the WCHL (now the ECHL)
o 2 x Years in UHL (Asheville/Rockford)
o 1 x Year in WPHL (Fort Worth/San Angelo)

Coaching Experience
o 2001 – 2003: Head Coach, Victoria Salsa BCHL
o 2003/2004: Asst. Coach, Victoria Racquet Club Bantam AAA
o 2004 – 2009: Head Coach, South Island MML (BC Hockey)
